Fuel your dreams consistently
For all of us, regardless of our political persuasion, public life has been very full and busy. There are plenty of distractions on the political front, ones that can consume our focus. We may be appalled, or we may be heartened by recent events, but chances are that we’re paying close attention to them.
In doing so, we may be forgetting to keep focus on what matters most to us in our personal arenas. We may be neglecting to feed our dreams with positive focus and energy.
Our dreams and aspirations are the one area of life in which we are the primary influencer. We have more power than anyone else to help ourselves reach our goals.
Yes, we want to pay attention to current events and take any appropriate actions we feel are needed. But even more so, we need to tend to our own lives, preserving and building what is good in them.
Today’s message invites me to shift my focus more on what I can accomplish. When I tend to my own dreams—and no one else is likely to do this for me—I’ll feel more empowered and will be happier with life in general.
Please reflect and share. What dream might you tend to today?
