Satisfaction is the greater part of happiness.
Most of us would like to be happier. We tend to think of things or situations outside of us as determining how happy we are. We may feel our happiness is outside of our control.
Happiness, however, is largely an inside job. We—the way we believe, think, act, and feel—are the biggest factor in our own happiness.
If we’re satisfied with our life, we tend to be happy. The largest component of our satisfaction is our how grateful we are.
The more gratitude we feel in relation to someone, something, or some situation, the more satisfied we will be with it/them. The more we’re satisfied with life in general, the happier we are.
Today’s message invites me to be even more satisfied with my life. This is the route to increased happiness for me.
Please reflect and share. How does satisfaction relate to your level of happiness?
