Love is the answer.
The election results are in. Some of us are elated, some of us are chagrined, others of us may be bored.
The divide between us that flourished up to the time of the election could easily persist. And that could be the real danger of the election—that it has caused us to see folks of differing beliefs, opinions, politics, and lifestyles as THEM (as opposed to US).
Separation consciousness can create a devaluing of people who are different than we are. It’s easier to disregard their needs, rights, and voices. They may appear to us as faceless and unworthy, to be disregarded in light of what we believe to be true and just.
Politics can’t fix this. Voting can’t fix this. The answer comes from inside each and every one of us. And the answer is love.
We are all unique and precious in the eyes of the divine. We are all worthy. We originated in love and that’s who we are in our very basis. We simply need to remember it is true of us and everyone and everything else too.
Today’s message reminds me that liberal applications of love can help smooth the upcoming transition for me and everyone else. It’s time for me to love more deeply and completely and to remember that love is the only power.
Please reflect and share. How do you see your role in the upcoming political transition?
