Bring out your best.
The United States feels like a country divided. This is no great revelation to anyone, and the recent election results only mirrored the polarity many of us have been feeling.
Most of us hope for better times, for a time when we all work together more closely for the general benefit. And yes, we can’t dictate what politicians may say and do, other than to write letters, sign petitions, attend rallies, and vote.
But we do have control over our own attitudes, beliefs, and rhetoric. We can choose how we conduct ourselves and how we view and treat others.
If enough of us do this, we can shift the general tenor of national discourse. We can elect how we all want to relate to each other.
Today’s message challenges me to up my game of tolerance and optimism. When I believe the best of myself and others, I’m investing the future with hope.
Please reflect and share. Are you willing to help heal the political divide?
