It’s coming to you

We all have been waiting for things—better health, more money, a love relationship, a promotion at work, a much-needed vacation. It may feel like we’ve been waiting a very long time. Perhaps we’ve nearly given up hope our desire will ever become real.

Good things come to us with some regularity. We largely take them for granted. We may be more focused on what we don’t have than what we do have.

Gratitude for the blessings we do have is a great way to help ensure they keep coming to us regularly. After all, it’s more pleasant to do favors for those who appreciate what they receive.

We also may have over scripted our expectations. If we hope for a new car, we may have narrowed our expectations down to a precise brand, model, color, and options list.

It may help to be a bit more flexible. We are likely to get what we need rather than precisely what we want. It’s usually for our benefit that way. What we receive often turns out to be better for us in the long run.

Today’s message reminds me that something good is always coming to me, on the regular. When I’m willing to appreciate what I have right now and feel confident that I will continue to be blessed, life is so very good.

Please reflect and share. Are you confident that good things are on their way?
