Think about what you want to see

Our minds may tend to drift. This can mean flights of fancy, idle speculation, reliving past scenarios, or positing of future scenarios.

Sometimes our imagined futures can be hopeful, visions of what we’d love to experience. Other times, our vision of the future may be more fearful. We worry about things happening that we’d want to avoid or that might cause us and those we love loss or harm.

Investing our energy in such visions when they have not occurred certainly upsets us right now. And it makes their eventual occurrence more probable as we have invested our emotions and focus in them.

Mercifully, there is a lovely antidote for such mental wanderings. And that is to instead think about what we’d like to see. We can cancel any negative imaginings with positive ones, infusing our thoughts with happy emotions and gratitude in advance.

This hopeful focus feels much better than fretting. And it also increases the chances that our desired outcome will manifest into reality.

Today’s message reminds me to keep my focus on what I want. Hope and positivity, with a generous side helping of gratitude, will draw my dreams closer to me.
