Get stable and refocus

Many of us may be feeling a little discombobulated. Societally, there’s a reasonable amount of confusion and upheaval. It’s easy to get caught up in the larger drama.

But that anxious or outraged focus doesn’t help us with what is within our control, the actions we take in life. It can be easy to divert our attention and energy from our dreams (what we want) to the bigger picture (what we don’t want).

No, we shouldn’t stick our heads in the sand and ignore what’s going on. But we can try to observe events more neutrally and take appropriate actions regarding them where we can.

In this way, we have more of ourselves to devote to pursuing our dreams and making things within our purview better. We’re aware of events at a macro level, but take our actions, in whatever way feels right and significant to us, at a micro level.

In order to do so successfully, we may need to rebalance and stabilize ourselves. This likely means clearing ourselves of fear, anger, and judgment. Then, when we feel centered in ourselves, the best version of ourselves, we can kindly and gently go about making a positive difference in our own lives and the lives of those we care about.

Today’s message reminds me to place my energy and attention on what I want to experience in my life. When I’m positive and calm, I can and will accomplish more good things.
