Resist what you want to see persist.

Situations can cause us to want to bristle. We may feel resentful, appalled, or aggrieved.

We don’t like what is happening and certainly don’t want it to continue. Fighting to ensure the scenario doesn’t continue may feel right to us.

Taking practical steps to get ourselves out of the difficulty does make sense. Being outraged, however, doesn’t really help.

If we leave the troublesome situation but keep the related thoughts and emotions inside of ourselves. we are likely to attract a similar turn of events again. The mental and emotional seeds are still inside of us.

Today’s message reminds me that resistance is a way to hold onto what I don’t want. In accepting the situation (and my emotions around it) and then letting go, taking action neutrally, or walking away, I free myself.
