Pleasure arises when we are present and positive in the moment.

We all have specific things we enjoy—a good cup of coffee, playing with our children, creating things, deep conversations. Each of us have our own personal likes, but we could all easily identify something that brings us pleasure.

We take enjoyment from these experiences because we are present to them. Our focus is on what is going on in the moment, and our focus is positive. We’re dialed in to whatever is going on and finding it to be good.

Today’s message suggests to me that I will find more pleasure in life when I am present in the moment and willing to put a positive spin on whatever is happening. Being focused and receptive, I find increased joy in life.

Please reflect and share. What do your pleasurable pursuits have in common?
