NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 442

Getting what we don’t want can help us focus on what we do want.

Please reflect and share. How does this play out for you?

Sometimes we’re saddled with a situation we don’t like. We may not have asked for it or it may have turned out differently than we hoped. Either way, we have to deal with it when we’d rather not. It can drain our energy and sap our optimism. Essentially, it sucks.

It’s easy to get caught up in resisting or bemoaning what’s occurred. This only increases our energy drain and makes the situation even more unpleasant to deal with. It heightens our awareness that we don’t like what we have.

Alternatively, we can choose to allot the minimum amount of our focus needed to handle the undesired scenario. This allows us more energy to visualize what we desire. If we’re uncertain of what we do want, knowing what we don’t want gives us a starting point to help refine our vision.

Today’s message invites me to reserve my primary energy for things I desire. Certainly, I may have to deal with unwanted events. But I can elect to sort through them as efficiently and neutrally as possible. This preserves my mojo for generating what makes me happy. I keep my focus on my desires.

How about you? How do you handle the unwanted?
