Power flows most freely through us when we don’t try to force things.
Please discuss. How does this play out in life?
I’ll start us out. There are things we all really want. The dreams vary for each of us, but the intense longing we feel is the same. We may be willing to do almost anything to make our visions real.
The intense yearning leads us to try to make things happen as quickly as possible. Our sense of urgency urges us to control and manipulate the situation to our desired end. We do all we can—and perhaps more than we should—and yet our dream may not manifest rapidly enough, to our way of thinking. A feeling of powerlessness can push us to attempt to leverage even more control. Yet somehow our goal eludes us.
We don’t get what we want because we’re striving too hard. Trying to force creation to comply with our wishes is crazy-making. It limits the wondrous ways in which our dream might be fulfilled. As my partner Nate Hall often says, “Nothing you want is upstream.” When we don’t fight the current and instead go with the flow, we’re carried to our dream. We don’t need to claw against the factors in play; we just need to allow things to unfold for our benefit, trusting we'[ll get what we need in perfect, divine timing.
Today’s message reminds me that love is the only power and the best way to manifest. If I truly want to see a dream become real, I will be best served by holding a clear vision of what I want and loving it in advance. Certainly I can take inspired and appropriate actions to further my goal, but feeling love and gratitude now for a future perfect outcome will energetically connect me to my desired end. Then I need only live gently and confidently in the assurance that the power of love will not fail me.
