The truth of any matter lies in how it feels to us.
Please discuss. How does this play out in life?
I’ll start us out. We all have things we’re convinced are true. Amazingly, other folks may be convinced something else entirely at odds with our beliefs is true. How is it possible that people can hold such differing opinions, particularly when the reality of the matter seems so clear to us?
Often what we believe and know to be true is based on facts. The facts we’re willing to accept are usually those that resonate with an emotion we hold. Essentially, we believe something is true if it feels real.
Today’s message reminds me of the link between truth and emotion. Further, it advises me that I can create truth, or reality, based on the power of my beliefs and emotions. Truth—and all truth I can perceive is more or less subjective—is what feels right to me.
How about you? How do you recognize truth?
