Old is new.

Sometimes we’re hit with a blast from the past. Memories of feelings or interactions catch us by surprise, immersing us in what was.

It can be puzzling or confusing. Why are these remembrances returning to us now? What’s the point?

We may ponder what we thought about the emotions or events at the time they occurred. Our perspective may have changed now, with additional experience and understanding we’ve gained.

The shift allows us to place what we thought was into a different perspective. A new viewpoint on the old can allow us to move out of old patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors into new ones.

Today’s message invites me to reinterpret an event from my past. When I’m willing to see things differently, I am different too.

Please reflect and share. What memory might it help you to reframe?
