Now is good. Everything is now.
We often are focused on “getting somewhere.” Our current moments can be filled with striving. Our time is frequently spend doing something in aid of something else. Less regularly do we give ourselves over to enjoying the moment.
This focus on the future leaves us out of touch with the present. Now gets lost in somewhen. This habit of looking forward can dampen our joy in the present.
When we place our focus on what we are doing and experiencing right now, we increase our potential for enjoyment in the present. Ideally, a life lived this way is a string of satisfying now moments.
Today’s message invites me to focus on the good of right now. There is plenty to love about now when I’m not looking to the future.
Please reflect and share. What good thing is in front of you right now?
