An unexpected change in plans can be refreshing.
If you’re like me, you usually make plans for your day. We may have a few items in mind that we want to accomplish. Sometimes, life—as in today’s case for me, the weather—intervenes. We can’t do what we wanted to do and are forced to find other activities.
This can lead to frustration and dissatisfaction. Or we can try to take the limitations with good grace and move willingly in the direction we’re being pushed.
If we look for alternative pastimes and chores, we just might be surprised how well things turn out. Sometimes our backup plans are better than the original.
Today’s message invites me to be flexible and cheerful when my plans don’t come together as hoped. In any circumstance, I can look for and appreciate the good.
Please reflect and share. How do you handle failed plans?
