Notes From The Awareness: 248

Solutions are more important than blame.

Please discuss. How does this play out in life?

I’ll start us out. There is no shortage of larger-scale issues facing our country currently, COVID-19, unemployment, racial injustice, the political divide, a strained economy. Finger-pointing has been rampant. We all have our own ideas about who is to blame for these problems, and they often differ from the opinions of others.

Blame and the contention around who’s at fault simply consumes our focus and energy without changing anything. It solves nothing. Hard though it may be, instead putting our attention and effort toward rectifying these issues will be far more effective. When there is more priority placed on assigning culpability than there is on improving things, we all lose.

Today’s message reminds me to place my attention on what I want to see rather than on who is guilty. If I truly desire things to be better, that is where my primary focus will be. If blame appears to be more important to me (based on where I spend my time), I will want to ask myself why. Keeping my emotions, imagination, and mojo targeted on my desired outcomes will serve me and all of us better.

How about you? How do you keep yourself out of the blame game?
