Head and heart
Some of us let our hearts lead us. We may be seen as dreamers, unrealistic, or soft. Others of us let our heads direct us. We may be viewed as cold, overly logical, and hard.
Many of us switch between heart and head. But we may not have a reliable way of doing so. The choice of approach may be spur of the moment.
There is a straightforward solution to a healthy combined approach. The heart inspires. It guides with love and connects us to divine consciousness. The mind analyzes and plans. It directs us through strategy to accomplish our goals.
When we start simply by listening to our heart, we connect with our intuitive self. Through this bridge to greater consciousness, we have access to wisdom that may not be accessible to our physical minds. We also heed our inner feelings, finding possibly unconscious realizations and motivations. When we begin within, we visualize goals that honor us and the divine whole.
Having done so, we can allow our physical minds to find practical ways to enact our choices. We can weigh pros and cons of differing approaches, call on our own or others’ past experiences, and research options. When we enlist our physical mind in the logistics of action, we are likely to identify workable means of achieving our goals.
Today’s message advises me that a synthesis of heart and head in navigating life honors all parts of my nature. When I engage the best of all aspects of me, I am more likely to enjoy life and be comfortable with my choices.
Please reflect and share. Do you lead with your heart, your head, or both?
