Compassion is in order.

Sometimes others frustrate us or piss us off. Their behavior can be annoying at best or perhaps even detrimental in our eyes.

Why do they have to do what they do? Why can’t they do something else (better in our eyes)?

We forget that our logic and motivations aren’t usually shared by others. They have their own ways of viewing things and reasons for their actions.

While we may not ever understand why the act as they do, we can try to accept that in their view their motivations are valid and real. Their behavior fills a need for them.

Today’s message reminds me that compassion is a form of love and acceptance. While I may not need to embrace behavior in others I feel is dysfunctional, I can offer them the gift of understanding as best I can.

Please reflect and share. What current situation in your life could benefit from a little compassion?
