Leave things better.
If we follow the news, there’s plenty to cause dismay. The world seems to suck some days. Many of the problems seem beyond our ability to influence. It can be disheartening.
While we may not be able to achieve world peace on our own, we certainly can make a difference in modest ways. We can pick up litter, be kind to a stranger, make a charitable donation, or interact positively with others.
These small actions may not seem important in the grand scheme of things, but they certainly can have a beneficial impact in our limited sphere. If we all did our best to leave the things and folks we touch better for our contact, the world would certainly be a different place.
So, we can act locally and also recognize others when they do so as well. Together we can build a network of folks who care and make a difference.
Today’s message invites me to be aware of opportunities to be a positive force for good. When I care for myself and the world around me, life seems more magical and engaging.
Please reflect and share. What small action could you take today to make a difference?
