Straight lines ignore nature.

Please reflect and share. How does this play out for you?

Direct often seems to be the best route. No detours, no distractions, just heading where we want to go. An approach without complications can be attractive and logically may look to be the most effective.

However our personal natures don’t fit into neat boxes. Interactions can’t be reduced to points on a map of our projected progress. Our personalities are chaotic and unpredictable.

The same is true of the natural world. It’s messy by design, and that’s a large part of its allure. Life’s mystique lies in its surprises and pitfalls.

Today’s message reminds me that trying to hew to a straight line approach will be ultimately less effective and satisfying. Allowing my progress to follow its natural path and pace will require less effort and be less stressful. Just around the curve is serendipity!

How about you? Do you favor the straight-line approach?
