Enjoy what the day offers.
Please reflect and share. How does this play out for you?
Many of us plan our days. We have a mental—or even written—list of things we want to or feel we need to accomplish. If we manage to somehow get all or most of them taken care of, we may even feel good about our days.
We likely didn’t consult Creation when making our list, and it may have other ideas about what our days should entail. Unexpected situations may crop up with little or no notice. Sometimes they’re desired and sometimes they’re not, but we generally don’t alter our to-do list to accommodate them. We may feel disappointed if items remain undone at the end of the day.
Today’s message encourages me to savor the unexpected. It will keep me from being in a familiar rut, and may very well be more worthwhile and enjoyable than what I had planned. I merely need to release the expectations I have placed on myself and relax into life’s serendipitous offerings.
How about you? How do you feel about flexing around the unexpected?
