Lost things are simply not where we believe they should be.
Please reflect and share. How does this play out in your life?
Things we rely on go missing all too often—wallet, keys, cell phone, or important documents. We know where they’re supposed to be. They’re just not there. It’s frustrating and can result in minor panic.
Most often, we’ve misplaced the missing items, put them down unthinkingly, or they may have slipped out of our pocket or purse. While we were focused on something else, they went astray unnoticed. Later when we need or want them, they’re not in the expected location.
The same phenomenon occurs with people, relationships, and goals. We may think we know where they’re at, become distracted by other matters, and suddenly realize they’ve slipped out of our grasp.
Today’s message advises me to pay attention to the people, things, and dreams most important to me. Placing my focus on what really matters will help make sure they don’t become lost to me. I can eliminate distractions by making things simple. Focusing my energy and attention helps me keep what is valuable to me in right relation and location in my life.
How about you? How do you keep track of whom and what matters to you?
