Goals are primarily about self.
Please discuss. How does this play out in life?
I’ll start us out. We all have things we want to achieve. They may be related to health, career, education, finances, children, or personal growth. They all are associated to something we want to be different in our lives.
There may be impediments to reaching these goals; some may be within our possible control and some may not. It’s important to place our focus on what we can affect—us. We may hold self-limiting beliefs or thought patterns that lead us to generate roadblocks. Once we’ve identified and resolved any possible ways we might trip ourselves up, we’re free to focus on what skills, talents, and qualities we want to develop within ourselves to help us accomplish our desires.
Today’s message reminds me that the most important thing to cultivate to attain my goals is me. When I focus on weeding out any sources of self-sabotage, planting the seeds for personal development, feeding their growth with visualization, effort, hope, and confidence, and pruning out any self-created distractions, I will certainly harvest changes to nourish me. I grow myself to reach my dreams!
How about you? How do you set about achieving a goal?
