Out of nothing very definitely comes something.
Please discuss. How does this play out in life?
I’ll start us out. Conventional wisdom tells us that if you want something to grow, you need to plant a seed. We believe we must have something to invest in order to create something. For example, not having startup funds has prevented some of us from launching a business. We believe we need to bait the hook to catch a fish.
And yet, out of nothing may very well be how our instance of creation began, out of a big bang—something from nothing, matter from energy. This is why visualization works: we place a thought or vision into the quantum field where it can manifest tangibly.
The potential of the void is also why meditation is such a powerful practice. We empty ourselves to that we may receive—peace, stillness, guidance, grace. When we are willing to become and embrace nothingness, we open ourselves to the infinite.
Today’s message reminds me to empty myself regularly. In releasing my thoughts, cares, burdens, aspirations and becoming nothing, I can discover my true nature as a divine spark of creation. I am a blank canvas for the divine to express itself.
How about you? What do you do to pare yourself down to the divine?
