notes from the furlough: day 11

Tremendous pressure is refining. Think diamonds!

Please discuss. How does this play out in life?

I’ll start us out. I’m not alone in being under pressure just now. We’ve all been pushed past our comfort zone by COVID-19. I feel challenged to find new ways of coping, alternative things to do, a different mindset, and novel choices. I’m being pressed beyond the boundaries of the life I was accustomed to, and it doesn’t always feel safe or easy. Some days are simpler than others, but most days involve some mental/emotional/spiritual stretching. Life events are honing me. This is always true, but the pace seems accelerated during my corona staycation. I’m becoming more aware of my capacity to find the positive. I’m more confident in my inner strength. I laugh more often. My interest in the spiritual nature of reality is rekindled. These are all precious gifts arising from a better understanding of myself, spurred by the pressures of my new everyday life.

How about you? What gems have you discovered inside yourself, refined by the pressures of COVID-19?
