Notes From The Unknown: day 103

For any theory that exists, some proof can be found.

Please discuss. How does this play out in life?

I’ll start us out. COVID-19, its future course as a pandemic, appropriate precautions, effective methods of treatment, and actual impact on society are hotly debated topics. Viewpoints vary widely, and regardless of what we believe to be true, we can find studies and statistics to support our opinions.

How then do we decide what is right and correct for us and for society as a whole? When the truth is seemingly fluid, we are all best served by pursuing the loving path, the course of action that respects both our needs and the needs of others as well. The golden rule is a good starting point. In dealing with the corona virus, we will want to ensure our personal as well as our societal actions treat others with the same care and honor we would wish to receive.

Today’s message reminds me that love must be my compass and the evaluating criteria for my beliefs. When in doubt, or even as a good general habit, I can review my actions and opinions with the following: Is it kind? Is it helpful? Is it respectful? With love as my rudder, I will always steer the true course.

How about you? How do you determine what is true and correct?
