NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 1371

What have you shifted recently?

Those of us on a path of personal and or spiritual development may usually have our focus on the work we want to do. We may have our eyes on who and how we feel we’d like to be.

In doing so, the emphasis is on what we still feel we need to accomplish. We may fail to recognize the progress we’ve already made.

That’s not to say we don’t want or need to make any further efforts. But we have a skewed perspective of ourselves if we can’t recognize what we’ve done right.

We may have lost weight, built muscle, eaten healthier, been kinder, complained less, or meditated or prayed more regularly. Whatever it is, we’ve done well and deserve to praise ourselves for the accomplishments we’ve made.

A balanced perspective on our efforts will help us feel hopeful and capable about what lies ahead of us. We’ve done well so far and can continue to do so!

Today’s message invites me to recognize some recent progress I’ve made. I can take a few deep breaths and savor the sense of accomplishment.
