NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 577

Revision is a form of growth.

Please reflect and share. How does this play out for you?

Sometimes we need to fix things or change them up. Editing a manuscript, altering our diet, ditching dysfunctional behavior, switching jobs, fine tuning our budget—these activities can feel challenging or even register as a sort of loss. We may see them as paring away of the unneeded or unwanted.

Certainly revision involves removing what isn’t working or serving us well. It also makes room for new possibilities, things to improve our well being. In embracing changes, we allow ourselves greater potential for happiness.

Today’s message—appropriate on a New Moon day—reminds me that it is easier to make progress in new directions when I carry less baggage. In willingly letting go, I gift myself the opportunity for more and better things. I empower my healthy growth by pruning away what doesn’t support my happiness.

How about you? What do you feel the need to revise?
