NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 501

Good is what we make it.

Please reflect and share. How does this play out for you?

We all want a good life. Our definitions of what that means may vary widely, but we all want a pleasant and happy existence. How do we get there, at least most of the time?

Our perception of what good is dictates how often and to what degree our lives seem good. Does good mean perfect health, oodles of money, and absolutely no personal conflicts? Or does it mean having reasonable health, food, and drink, safe shelter, and beloved companions?

When we reconsider what constitutes a good life, we’ll likely find we have at least most, if not all, of what’s needed already.

Today’s message reminds me that I’m in charge of making my life good. Part of my responsibility is going after what I want, but another key piece is finding joy and satisfaction in what I have. I make my life good by loving it.

How about you? What does a good life mean to you?
