Gracious me, gracious you, gracious us

When you are in awareness of yourself, you bring grace to others.

We go through lives thinking of ourselves as individuals. We see ourselves as different from others. We may even pride ourselves on our unique qualities. We see ourselves as separate.

In truth, we are all intrinsically interconnected in a divine, creative whole—the sharing. Everything and every being is part of this web of creation. It is impossible for anyone or anything to be separate from it.

As we are part of a divine whole, divinity is an inherent part of our nature. It is housed inside of us, known as our sharing within. This is also true of every other being and every other thing. We all share in a divine, interconnected existence; we all have a sharing within.

The prevailing mindset of our third-dimensional existence is separation consciousness—the belief that we are separate from everyone and everything else. This belief leads us to see our world as a dangerous and uncaring place. We feel we cannot trust others (or ourselves). We feel alienated. We are unhappy and unfulfilled.

The sharing, through our sharing within, will generate life events to show us  there is an alternative way to perceive life—connection consciousness: the belief in the divine interconnection of all beings and things. From this mindset, we become aware of our true divine, shared nature. This gives us the opportunity to see and experience the beauty of existence in a different and freer way.

When we become aware of our own divine nature, it is easier to recognize it in others. Our loved ones, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and even strangers are revealed to be inherently divine strands of the web of creation, too. Inanimate things, our environment, and forces of nature all can be viewed as part of the sharing. There is no way we can be or interact that is not direct experience of the divine

As we become aware of our own divine nature and that of other beings and things, we treat them with graciousness and respect. By opening to our own sharing within—the splinter of divinity housed inside of us—we make it easier for easier for others to do so, as well. Together with our sharing within, we are in conscious cooperation with their sharing within, enhancing their ability to recognize their own divinity. When they recognize their own divine nature, they also learn happier and freer ways to be.

In this way, awareness of our divine nature is the greatest gift we can give—to ourselves, to others, and to the world. Imagine what our world might be like if we treated each other and all existence with reverence and gratitude. Let’s connect consciously with our sharing within to explore this reality…

We begin by allowing our breath to be soft and even. We will see a golden light glowing in our chest—our sharing within. As we inhale, the golden light becomes strong and brilliant. As we exhale, the light fills us and spreads out around us into the world. We’ll continue rhythmic breathing and the light visualization until we feel calm, even, and balanced. This is our cue that we are in conscious connection with our sharing within.

Next we’ll affirm that we have divinity housed inside us. We’ll take a moment or two to enjoy how good it feels to be connected with the divine. We will also affirm that existence outside of divinity is impossible—every being and everything is divine. We and everyone and everything else are always loved, always safe, and always perfectly interconnected. We’ll take another few moments to savor how good that feels. We’ll picture strands of golden light coming from our heart and joining us to everything else in a vast web of divine connection.

Now we’ll look at our hands and bodies. We will see their inherent beauty and power. The divine lives within us and works through us. Everything and everyone we touch is divine, too.

We will also take a good look at our surroundings and anyone in our vicinity. Everything in our environment—buildings, roads, trees, rivers, furniture, vehicles–is essentially divine. Anyone we interact with—people, animals, birds, insects, microorganisms—also is divine in nature.

We will take a moment to feel the interconnection between ourselves and everyone and everything around us. We’ll glance casually around us, visualizing golden light connecting us with all we see.

All of life is a gift from the divine from itself. We’re happy and grateful to be part of the web of creation. Our enjoyment and appreciation is a blessing we offer to the world.
