NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 717

Self-love expands us.

We are all our own worst critics. We’re usually far harder on ourselves than we are on others. Mostly, we don’t cut ourselves much slack.

Seeing ourselves as flawed or broken, we’re likely to view others in the same way. This can lead us to be more critical of life in general, resulting in cynicism and dissatisfaction.

When we love and accept ourselves, we know how good it feels. We want others to feel the same way, too. Acceptance becomes more of a default for us, generating more happiness and contentment.

Being less critical also give us more opportunity to explore and ponder. New beliefs and thought patterns are more accessible to us and we find it easier to change and grow.

Today’s message invites me to focus on self-love as a way of helping myself and the world. Unconditional love will solve many of my issues.

Please reflect and share. How might you love yourself more?
