Life is the gift.
The holidays have us thinking about presents. We purchase them for others in hopes of making them happy. We receive and appreciate them as signs of caring.
Gratitude for everyday events—a good cup of coffee, warm sunshine, the companionship of a pet—also enriches our existence. It’s fairly easy, when we choose to make the minor effort, to find lots of blessings.
And yet, we may fail to recognize the biggest gift of all: the fact that we are alive to experience this delicious roller coaster of physical existence. Without our bodies and awareness, we couldn’t savor life’s high points and learn from life’s low points.
Today’s message invites me to be grateful for being. I enrich myself and the collective, loving consciousness of The Sharing by appreciating the opportunities physical existence offers me.
Please reflect and share. Are you grateful to be alive, and why?
