NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 822

Do what you can.

Sometimes what we feel we should do seems overwhelming. Our level of energy or available time or resources doesn’t match what’s needed to get the job done.

This usually causes us to feel bad about ourselves, which only creates resistance to the whole issue. In judging ourselves we make things yet more difficult.

It can be dispiriting enough to cause us to just give up. But that would only have us feeling defeated and/or lacking.

The solution is to simply do what we can and count it as a small win. It may not be the larger achievement we’d hoped for, but it is an accomplishment, nonetheless.

Today’s message invites me to be satisfied with minor progress. When I do what I can and feel grateful for the result, I have made a small gain and can also feel good about myself.

Please reflect and share. What minor progress can you feel good about?
