Notes From The Furlough: Day 17

Prowess amounts to repetition.

Please discuss. How does this play out in life?

I’ll start us out. In the days of our corona virus pause I am, like most of us, winging it. Being over age 60, I have had some experience with chronic illness, short finances, employment uncertainty, and reinventing the rhythm of my days. I count myself lucky to have coping skills attained in the past that I can dust off and put to good use. Still, the combination of events occurring now is more challenging than what I’ve been through previously. Today I am reminded that I am getting better at handling this situation each day by virtue of repetition. It’s like an exercise program for inner strength. All I need to do is keep putting one foot in front of the other.

How about you? What skill sets developed in the past are you tapping now and what new ones are you building?
