Enjoy the wait.
I, like many of us I suspect, am not an overly patient person. Patience is not one of my stronger virtues.
When I want something to happen, I want to see steady/rapid progress. Waiting makes me uncomfortable or even annoyed.
However, in looking back at things I needed to wait for in my past I realize that had I gotten my initial desire right away, I would not have been ultimately as satisfied with the outcome.
My ideas and wishes refined during the wait period. Anticipation made the culmination sweeter. And I valued the end result even more precisely because I did need to wait. The patience required added consequence to my final enjoyment.
Today’s message reminds me that is waiting helps me enjoy the outcome even more, I can allow myself to enjoy the wait time, too. Partial results and other blessings along the way can and should bring me joy in the moment. Patience will help me be happier.
Please reflect and share. How do you handle waiting?
