NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 517

The eyes see through the mind; the heart sees through the soul.

Please reflect and share. How does this play out for you?

We observe life, with what we see influencing, if not dictating, how we react and interact. Unless we’re visually impaired, our eyesight plays a major role in what and how we experience. We rely on it heavily to receive our world, make our choices, and be safe.

Yet out eyes, for the most part, only gather data from our third-dimensional physical realm. There is another aspect of being—the unseen—that is beyond our physical reality. In order to receive input from this other way of being, we need to use an alternative means of perception—the heart.

The heart is an organ of cognition in its own right. It generates an electromagnetic field, the largest one arising from any organ in our body, including the brain. Often data registers in the heart prior to being available to the brain. The heart has access to a broader range of input information than the brain does. Yet we may discount or even block its perception with our conscious mind, unwilling to trust or believe in its wisdom.

Today’s message invites me to open more fully to experiencing life with my heart’s perception. In doing so, I can release judgments and preconceptions based on my past mental and emotional programming. My heart helps me see clearly what my mind cannot conceive.

How about you? Do you trust the vision of your heart?

Antoine de Saint-Exupery, from his book The Little Prince: “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”
