NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 1183

Return in a new way.

Sometimes we’d like to revisit the past. We remember folks and events fondly and wish we could have another helping of something that was good.

And we can, with this caveat. We’ve accumulated life experience in the interim. We aren’t exactly the same person we were back then. So, we can’t recreate what we enjoyed precisely, because we’ve changed.

We can look back and see what the basic nature of the interaction was. And using what we know and who we are now, we can craft something similar—and perhaps even better—to enjoy.

Today’s message advises that I can’t relive the past, but I can mine it for inspiration. When I bring the best elements of the past into my now, I honor what was by creating something good in the moment.

Please reflect and share. What experience from your past do you treasure?
