Most things have an explanation.

Seemingly senseless events can leave us feeling puzzled or even outraged. We struggle to imagine how they might ever occur. And yet they do.

Often we may feel judgmental about such incidents. We may reason that those involved must be bad, misguided, or unaware. Otherwise, how could such things possibly happen. We may feel certain that a much more favorable outcome would have resulted, had we been in charge of things.

Today’s message advises me to consider the value of giving others the benefit of the doubt. Reality will often defy my conception, and my actions likely also spur the disbelief of others. With more complete data, the inexplicable can become understandable to me.
