NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 625

Intention makes our efforts honorable.

There are things we feel good about doing and things we don’t. Sometimes we simply dislike a particular task—dusting the house springs to mind. Other times circumstances push us to take an action, like euthanizing a pet, that we’d rather avoid.

What we do tends to be neutral. It’s the how and why that usually determines the worthiness of our effort. If we’re dusting to create a healthy indoor environment, the intention can help change our perspective on the dreaded chore. Euthanasia becomes of gift of love rather than murder when our intent is to spare suffering and preserve dignity.

Today’s message reminds me that all my work and actions are worthy when performed with benevolent intent. Making sure I can feel good about what I do helps keep me happy and in integrity.

Please reflect and share. How do you keep yourself honorable?
