NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 984

Accept help when you need it.

Some of us are overly independent. If you’re like me, you might wish to struggle through a situation rather than ask for help.

Sturdy independence is a good thing. But when it persists in the face of unusual odds, it’s not logical.

If we’re uninclined to get assistance, it may be because we’re concerned about being vulnerable or beholden to others.

But, if we’re honest with ourselves, we feel entirely different when we’re helping others. It may be because they’re a perceived element of control in help.

Today’s message encourages me to become more comfortable with allowing others to help me. When I accept assistance gracefully, I give others the opportunity to be benvolent.

Please reflect and share. How comfortable are you with accepting help?
