NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 886

Expect nothing.

We often have expectations—for events, for our finances, for other folks’ actions. Sometimes they’re optimistic and sometimes pessimistic. But we frequently posit what might occur or we expect to see happen.

We’re sometimes correct in our assumptions. However often we’re not, particularly is our fears or prejudices are driving our suppositions. Conversely, we can be overly optimistic and refuse to see signs of coming difficulties causing us to be blindsides by events.

Today’s message advises me that the best way I can prepare for the future is to expect nothing, neutrally. When I focus my preparation and concern on cultivating personal flexibility and balance, I am best prepared for whatever might happen.

Please reflect and share. Have your recent expectations been accurate?
