I’ll start us out. 2020 has been the year of the unexpected. It seems like every time we take a surprise event in stride, another rises up to throw us off balance again. It’s tiring and uncomfortable, and it would be a relief to coast for a while.
Each new challenge pushes us as we learn to master it. We’re forced to expand the scope of our beliefs and thoughts to learn to deal with it. Old ways of handling issues no longer seem to be effective. As the fixed patterns that shaped our coping mechanisms are broken, we explore new ways to experience. The cracks in our life paradigms help expand our awareness.
Today’s message reminds me that mental or emotional discomfort is a sign that life is offering an opportunity for expansion. When I use my unease as a trigger for inner exploration, my awareness of what is going on around me shifts and grows too. A fresh perceptional perspective can follow. My perturbance is merely a sign that my awareness could us a tune up.
