Find your missing piece.
In the rush of everyday life—job, kids, bills, spouse, pets, chores, obligations—we can be overwhelmed by it all and yet feel something is missing. It’s as if we’ve eaten a great big meal but our body is still craving healthy nutrition, except on a non-physical level.
The more we do, the emptier we can feel. It can seem as if a piece of us is somehow missing.
And it is. What we long for comes from inside of us, which is why no amount of external engagement and activity will fill the hole. The piece we’re missing is inner peace.
Inner peace comes when we slow down, forget the bustle around us, and consciously connect with the divine. There a myriad of ways to achieve this.
Here are a few tried and true methods—being still in nature, mindfulness meditation, prayer, hemi synchronous sound meditation. The method most effective for you may or may not be in this list. The important thing is that it works for you.
Today’s message invites me to slow down and center myself in inner peace. Everything in life will feel calmer, richer, and more satisfying when I approach it from a peaceful perspective.
Please reflect and share. How do you find inner peace?
