Listen to life.
Many of us wish life came with an instruction manual. Sometimes existence is puzzling. Often, we may struggle figuring out what to do.
If we can’t have a script, it would at least be nice to have a prompter to help us when we don’t know what to do next. We may feel that if we just had some clues, we could navigate events more easily.
Life does provide clues for us, but likely they aren’t in the form we might expect or desire. Instead of a heavenly voice telling us to do or not do things, life offers examples and metaphors for us to observe.
Watching a mother robin feeding her babies can exemplify how to care for our children. Having the battery on our car die might illustrate that we aren’t recharging our own body. A song playing in the supermarket may have words that give us needed inspiration.
Today’s message invites me to be more attentive to the messages going on all around me. When I pay attention to life, I find it simpler and easier to be happy.
Please reflect and share. What sign has life provided to you today?
