When it’s optimal
Many of us— I’m guilty here—aren’t overly patient. We want things to happen right now. We’re not fond of waiting.
Technology often provides us with lightning quick response times. We get instant gratification with social media and internet. Those of us who remember dial-up internet connection likely cringe at the memory.
But just because something is quick and readily available doesn’t mean it’s good for us. Think of mass-produced fast food versus a tasty and healthy home-cooked meal. The latter takes time and effort but is far more rewarding and nourishing.
In the same way, life events and desired outcomes come to us when the timing is right, which isn’t necessarily when we’d want it to be. Sometimes this can seem inexplicable to us because we may not be aware of all the important factors. But nonetheless, we get what we need (and sometimes what we want) at the best time for us to receive it.
Part of the delay may be the need for all the moving parts in the scenario to best align. Another portion may be that we may need to be ready to fully receive. Likely we think we are when sometimes we aren’t quite ready yet.
We can help ourselves by learning trust and patience, along with gratitude for the good we already experience right now. When we’re more focused on appreciating what is rather than bemoaning what we don’t have yet, the wait is far more enjoyable. We may also shorten the wait time, as our personal evolution may be one of the pieces that needs to be in place for our desired outcome to manifest.
Today’s message reminds me that things happen in life when I’m ready for them or when I need them. Creation has my back and always gifts me with optimal timing.
Please reflect and share. Are you generally patient?
