NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 1504

Focus on your viewpoint

We’ve all encountered haters, folks who criticize us and belittle our efforts.

Sometimes, perhaps, they may be well-intentioned. Their input may be meant to be constructive criticism. Other times, their opinions about us may simply seem negative. For whatever reason, they simply may not approve of us or what we do.

It’s easy to feel hurt when we are subject to criticism. We may think we’re doing well or have a brilliant idea, only to encounter pushback from others.

We may wish to consider the source. If the source is an internet troll, we can simply scroll past and ignore the negativity. We won’t want to register criticism from someone we wouldn’t consult for advice.

When the input comes from someone near and dear to us, we may wish to honestly evaluate whether their opinions feel valid to us. If no, we can assume they meant well and go on as we were. If yes, we may wish to review our actions and plans.

But most of all, we need to focus on what we feel and believe. More than anyone else, we have to live with our actions and choices. Our own opinion truly matters.

Today’s message reminds me to be my own best judge of the worth of my actions and efforts. If I’m comfortable and secure in what I do, without any reservations, then all is well.

Please reflect and share. How do you react to haters?
