NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 850

What you think probably isn’t.

We think about things. We take in experiences and form ideas and opinions. We use previously formed thoughts, ideas, and opinions to analyze and interpret current circumstances. We simply can’t help thinking about things.

The more we think and form opinions, the more certain we are that we’re right. And that often may not be true. Our thoughts and opinions tend to be based on incomplete data and are skewed heavily by what we’ve thought previously.

Today’s message invites me to be less certain that I’m right. Being right shouldn’t be as important to me as being happy. And I’ll likely be happier when I think about things less.

Please reflect and share. What recent assumption of yours proved to be wrong?
