The beauty we find in life starts inside us.
All of us find beauty in life, things that fill us with awe, wonder, gratitude, and love. Each of us has our own personal sense of what’s lovely. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
And yet, it goes deeper than this. In order to find beauty around us, it must be able to recognize itself. There must be beauty within us. When our inner being contains beauty—through love, thankfulness, and understanding of our divine interconnection—it calls out to our external world, like attracting like, and we recognize it all around us.
Today’s message advises me that I will perceive more beauty and natural harmony in the world when I cultivate it inside of me. When I focus on being kind, gracious, gently, grateful, and loving, my inner beauty shines forth to illuminate the splendor in all creation.
