NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 587

Releasing our grievances, we free ourselves.

Please reflect and share. How does this play out for you?

We all have experienced others doing us wrong. It’s disillusioning and painful and certainly not something we want to repeat. These scenarios often stay fresh in our psyche, hopefully making us aware of what we want to avoid. We hold our memory of being victimized close, feeling it may protect us.

In truth, hanging on to this type of experience can cause it to be more likely to reoccur. Our focus on what we don’t want can increase the chances we will manifest it again.

We may also be reluctant to let our wound s go. It may feel to us that by accepting what occurred, we also condone it. However, the release of forgiveness is for us and not for the perpetrator of our pain. In letting go of our outrage and hurt, we uncouple ourselves from the freshness of the experience.

Today’s message asks me to release any unwillingness to forgive. I don’t necessarily help the other person or give them a free pass to inflict pain on others, but I certainly lighten my load and free my own energy to be redirected to things I enjoy. I forgive others to make my life easier and happier.

How about you? Is it easy for you to forgive?
