Notes From The Unknown: Day 121

Out of our minds and into our hearts.

Please discuss. How does this play out in life?

I’ll start us out. Our lives have been disrupted this year more than usual. We’re having to reinvent the way we live, often on multiple fronts. It’s been a challenge at time to sort through our alternatives and decide how to move forward. We try to make our best decisions, thinking through options, researching to gather information, and weighing pros and cons. Yet we may have niggling doubts that we are not making the absolute best choices. That’s because we may not be consulting out built-in arbiter of truth, our heart.

Today’s message reminds me that my feelings provide invaluable input about any course of action I consider. When I pay attention to how I feel, I come in touch with my subconscious, which will bring any inner approval, concerns, and considerations to awareness. It may be that I love one option so much that I don’t need to overthink things, that I need to clear emotional baggage from my path, or that my intuition has non-logical hints of value. My heart, my direct connection to divine consciousness, can help me interpret my feelings and know what I need to do next. Once I’ve aligned my emotions and intent and have integrated my intuitive guidance, I can use my logical processes, if needed, to help fill any gaps or smooth any rough spots. But in the dance of decision making, my heart must lead.

How about you? Do you tend to follow your head, your heart, or a synthesis of both?
