NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 522

Wisdom doesn’t need to shout.

Please reflect and share. How does this play out for you?

Sometimes we’re certain that we’re right. We have a strongly held viewpoint and may feel the need to express it to others. If they don’t agree with us, we may increase our adamancy, hoping it might prove our point. The more resistance we meet, the more firmly we may state our case. We get loud.

Our opinion is true—for us. And the other’s opinion is true—for them. We are both correct, as we experience from different points of perception. We probably will never convince each other to change our minds. Our viewpoints are based on how the world feels to each of us.

Underlying both our experiences is divine reality, the reality of divine, conscious love. True wisdom arises here, hopefully sometimes infusing the everyday reality we perceive. This divine wisdom is accessible to us when we are ready and willing to receive it. We cannot convince another of its truth. We can only embody as much of it as possible in our daily thoughts and actions.

Today’s message invites me to pay more attention to the wisdom sourced in divine interconnection than to my own thoughts and opinions. Allowing this understanding to shine forth in how I conduct my life will prove its value more clearly than anything I can say. I need to be divine truth more than I need to convince others of it.

How about you? What’s your take on wisdom?
